The Queue: Existence ought to be weird
Can I get personal for a minute?
One of the downsides since launching Blizzard Watch is that I have less time to write and interact with the community (beside Twitter)… no time for podcasts, lots of other posts, etc… And that means I don’t get to (friendly) argue with Matt Rossi anymore. And because of that I spent a couple hours this morning writing a reply to a question that wasn’t really asked … just for Matt.
Let us Queue.
The Queue: Na na na na na na na leader!
There’s really no reason for The Queue’s intro today other than the fact the wife and I watched the episode of the Simpsons where they all joined the Leader’s cult and homer collected leaderbeans.
And really, isn’t a collection of leaderbeans just a symbol for today’s social media-drive liked upvoting shared on instagram and retweeted with eight-thousand favorites sort of li(f)e?
I’ll be over here, blowing your minds. Let us Queue.
Family Guy goes Warcraft next Sunday
The Queue: The call of Allied Races, Acti-Blizz, and the Alpha
This is the second week in a row I’m going to opine on Acti-Blizz, so let’s jump in.
The Queue: Leveling by questing, aqua form, and the Activision-Blizzard Launcher
You know what I really want and would be a great start to my week? A new picture of a character named Activision with a pet named Blizzard. The one we had from almost a decade ago doesn’t fit the site anymore so I can’t really use it. But alas … if any hunters are feeling saucy, you know what to do.
The Queue: Deathwing’s return, ugly mounts, 110 boost
When I wrote this Queue I realized something: I never thought I’d be taking quests from Illidan. Something still doesn’t feel right about that. Especially the months it too me to defeat him and the lengths I went to time my shield bash perfectly.
I should be able to do a shield bash emote on him and make ’em flinch. Just for old time’s sake.
The Queue: Diablo on Nintendo Switch, Legion Archaeology, and Silthus
Welcome to the Queue folks, and let me extend my appreciation to Liz for covering Monday’s edition for me… may her generosity lead to a gnome appearance in a cinematic.
The Queue: Go for the eyes, Boo!
I want to start off Monday by talking about T’paartos, the Paladin we help during the Draenei Lightforged allied race quest chain. If you haven’t done it, I’d recommend you do so. All the allied race unlock quests are great, and while I can’t really pick my favorite, I think T’paartos is the most memorable character out of them.
He has such an innocence to him, and his childhood connected with me personally right away leading to a story that I was synced up to from the very beginning. His origin and backstory is almost comic-bookish, which is wonderful in its own way. But that’s not what made it.
Patrick Seitz was the voice actor for T’paartos, and I don’t know if he was trying to channel Jim Cumming’s version of Baulder’s Gate’s Minsc, but if he was, bravo. And if he wasn’t, my god it was just a near perfect unintentional reflection. The voice acting, combined with the story, put me squarely back into my teenage years when I was running around with Minsc and Boo bashing monsters and standing up to pure evil!
The Queue: A very happy Monday to Grue
Good morning Queue world! Let’s start answering some questions…
The Queue: Boldly going where no Void Elf has gone before
I admit, this Queue is light on the Blizzard questions… but we’re boldly going into what happened last night.
Call it a trip into another Warlords of Draenor-like universe where we’re all playing a Star Trek game that isn’t boring… (burn).
