While everyone else was busy messing around in Stormwind on this week’s WoW leveling stream, I may have been busy picking up a few new friends (to be named something obnoxious sometime soon.)

Archimonde, we assumed, was dead. But he's show up again on Draenor, and it's left a lot of people confused as to how he could have been dead, and suddenly is not. People speculated that just as there are infinite versions of Draenor, there are infinite versions of the Burning Legion as well. That's where a tweet from Alex Afrasiabi comes in.

Yesterday it was announced that yes, we would be able to take to the skies and fly in Draenor after all -- but not without some work on our end. Flying in Draenor will be something we can unlock through obtaining a series of achievements and reputations, rather than paying a giant chunk of change to a vendor.

At the present time, no official date has been given for the end of Season 16. However, between this announcement and today's reveal that future builds on the 6.2 PTR are going to be flagged as "release" versions, it seems to be a pretty good indicator that the launch of patch 6.2 is right around the corner.

Last night's Blizzard Watch podcast had some interesting discussion about world events, and it reminded me of something I'd completely forgotten about -- the elemental invasions. No, not the ones we experienced just before Cataclysm roared into existence, I'm talking about the old world elemental invasions that were added back in patch 1.4.0.

This week will see some targeted testing in store for the Hellfire Citadel raid on the patch 6.2 PTR. A new build is scheduled to be released tomorrow, and as a result there should be some raid testing on Wednesday, June 10.

Roleplaying is one of those activities that not everyone actually participates in -- in fact, the majority of people playing World of Warcraft are simply playing to do PVE or PVP content. Roleplaying is kind of niche content in that way, and although it isn't actively promoted by Blizzard, they do have realms available for roleplayers. While there's nothing stopping you from roleplaying on a PVE or PVP server, you're apt to find a lot more roleplayers on the realms that have been specifically designated for that purpose.
