Okay, wherever Thrall has been spending his time since handing over the Doomhammer and skedaddling in Legion, I think it's fair to say he has not been skipping Arm Day.

If you've been around World of Warcraft for a while, one thing you've experienced by now is the giddy rush when various sites like Wowhead, MMO-Champion and others get their hands on a new PTR build or the latest alpha/beta files and go to work teasing out what's in those files.

In patch 8.2 we're getting a new piece of gear, one that's supposed to give players control over how they play.

Patch 8.2 will see us enter two big new world zones with world quests and storylines leading up to a raid and a mega-dungeon respectively -- the Naga stronghold of Nazjatar surrounding Azshara's Eternal Palace, and the Mechagnome fortress of Mechagon.

When WoW's patch 8.2 was released on the PTR, dataminers found something distressing: most of the descriptive filenames in the game's database have been removed.

In World of Warcraft, we're seeing the public test realm spin up and the spoilers for characters and storylines in patch 8.2 already starting up.

It's all been leading up to this.

Before World of Warcraft, there was EverQuest, and one of the best sites for keeping track of items and quests in that game was named Allakhazam.

Last week, during the Rise of Azshara preview livestream hosted by World of Warcraft Senior Game Designer Jeremy Feasel (also known as Muffinus on Twitter) we got some details about the new heritage armor sets coming to the Alliance and Horde in patch 8.2, and I have to say, I'm very excited about what little we currently know.

Never having to ride that freaking water strider again! Never again! Die you accursed water bug!  Ahem.
