Update: Now we know!

We've already talked about how the story of Diablo 3 opened.

It's no secret that Diablo Immortal didn't get an enthused reception from the crowd at BlizzCon last year -- while you'd think that more Diablo is always a good thing, players have a lot of negative opinions about mobile games.

I think about this one a lot.

Last time, we talked about the story of Diablo 3 up until the hero who had come to New Tristram managed to destroy the Skeleton King and find the Fallen Star.

One of the first books I ever bought for the Third Edition of the Dungeons and Dragons RPG was, of all things, a Diablo themed sourcebook, named Diablerie.

This is an interesting use of machine learning, and compared to what I'm always afraid they'll do with it -- namely, create a super AI that will realize how awful our species is and wipe us all out like the plague we are -- making Diablo 2 cutscenes sharper is a pretty good one.

Patch 2.6.5 will hit the PTR for a week starting on Friday, April 5th.

On the one hand, I enjoy a good sale as much as the next person and the fact that you can currently buy Diablo 3 and the Reaper of Souls expansion bundled together for significantly less than normal is pretty great -- you can buy either Diablo 3 itself or Reaper of Souls for half off, and the combined bundle for 31% less than usual.

I've had people ask me for a round up of the plot of Diablo 3 for a while.
