If there's one thing that every Dungeons and Dragons game needs, it's a Dungeon Master.

I've been playing and Game Mastering various tabletop RPGs for a long time -- from old school Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder, to Wraith the Oblivion, Exalted, and Talislanta. I've run GURPS, Champions, Silver Age Sentinels, Unknown Armies, Conspiracy X, Call of Cthulhu, Earthdawn, Heavy Gear... it's a lot of games.

TSR, Inc introduced the world to Count Strahd von Zarovich in 1983 in the module Ravenloft, a Dungeons and Dragons spin on the famous Dracula legend, and he has remained a villainous favorite of players and Dungeon Masters ever since.

The latest sourcebook for Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition has arrived, and if you're looking for a ruleset to finally populate your campaign with rainbow elementals and playable unicorns, then Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft is most definitely not it.

Even as COVID-19  restrictions relax, people are still indoors for extended lengths of time, so playing D&D online has never been more popular.

Back when we covered the changes to the Adventurer's League that came along with Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, we discussed what the Adventurer's League is and how it works.

Because that is the kind of thing people do, apparently.

So if you missed it last September, there's an upcoming Magic the Gathering set called Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, which will for the first time bring various D&D characters and concepts into the famous TCG.

It's rare we get much in the way of information on projects in the works at Wizards of the Coast.

There's a lot about World of Warcraft and Dungeons and Dragons that translate well to each other — and fans have taken notice.
