The Queue: Baby’s first Queue

Though I’ve been part of the site since I was hired in 2007 and was Editor-in-Chief in the Wrath era before handing the reins over to our current Commander-in-Chief, Alex Ziebart, this is the first Queue that I’ve written. I might have penned a few editions of The Queue’s predecessor, Ask A Beta Tester, but that is lost to the mists of time. In any case, the future is now and questions demand answers. Though I’ve been told quite pointedly that I cannot answer in lolcat memes. Sigh.

The Queue: Boop

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

The above image is even funnier if you imagine Gul’dan’s voice actor saying “boop.” Side note: It’s kind of weird that the eyeballs of all these past chieftains were inexplicably preserved. I mean…does Draenor have formaldehyde? Because I kind of assume eyeballs just…decay over time into nothing at all. Or maybe, you know, it’s just magic and I probably shouldn’t question these things. Instead, I’ll answer your questions!

The Queue: To-do lists

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

BlizzCon is rapidly approaching and I’ve got a crazy long to-do list with all kinds of boxes to check off. I don’t think it’s quite as ambitious as Winston’s to-do list in Overwatch, however. Hey, at least I don’t need any peanut butter from the store though. Maybe. You know what, I should probably check the cupboards on that one. But first, why don’t we get some of your questions out of the way?

The Queue: Which came first, the warlock or the mage?

This one’s never going to be solved, because we know that Doomguards were created by the Titans to hunt down those that engaged in sacrificial magics, implying that there were Warlocks before the fall of Sargeras. We know that the most famous Warlocks, Archimonde and Kil’jaeden, were Mages on Argus before Sargeras came and converted to Warlock magic as a result, and that the modern Warlock tradition derives from their teachings, so even former Orc Shamans who became Warlocks learned from Kil’jaeden’s teaching of Gul’dan and thus learned from a former Mage.

In the end, all we can do is go on with The Queue.
