This week's World of Warcraft maintenance should be another short one, because no one wants to put in too many hours of work on a holiday week (not even the poor admins in charge of rebooting the realms just before New Year's).

The longest-awaited feature in World of Warcraft history, Player Housing, is here for players who have pre-ordered the Midnight expansion, and with these new zones come a new collection of Azeroth's fauna to love and admire.

Soon, it will be time for World of Warcraft's Midnight expansion to launch, kicking off the second part of the Worldsoul Saga as baddie (in every sense of the word) Xal'atath invades Azeroth with an army of void creatures at her beck and call.

Get ready to roll those Void Elf Demon Hunters, because the Midnight pre-patch launches on January 20, 2026, immediately after Legion Remix ends.

With the first few weeks of Player Housing under our belt, it's time to really get down to brass tacks about decor collecting -- and finding quests that reward nice things for our homes and gardens can be a bit overwhelming.

Now that we've all picked out our plots and begun the process of setting up our living spaces, we can step back and assess our initial feelings towards World of Warcraft Player Housing.

Thanks to the advent of player housing, we can finally fill our house with that most important of things: books.
