For many World of Warcraft fans, the highlight of the Gamescom 2025 Opening Night Live stream was not the tepid Midnight cinematic reveal, but the breathtaking fashion display of perennially well-dressed Vice President and Executive Producer of WoW, Holly Longdale.

In the midst of Gamescom Opening Night Live, we were given our first look at season two of the postapocalyptic series Fallout (which is also coincidentally one of our favorite video games).

Midnight, the next expansion for World of Warcraft, has finally been revealed, and amongst the features mentioned are two that we've previously speculated on -- correctly, I might add, across multiple posts.

One of the features that is currently in development for World of Warcraft Midnight is the Prey system, a new type of combat encounter where players can take on contracts to hunt down enemies across Azeroth with a twist: your target will hunt you back.

Blizzard just gave us a look at the cinematic for their next expansion Midnight, and it seems literally anticlimatic.
