While we took the time to stage a Goblin revolution in the Liberation of Undermine, even our pit stop there -- like the rest of The War Within so far -- had us dealing with the machinations of Xal'atath and other, even shadier denizens of the Void.

Every new glimpse of the upcoming Player Housing feature we get, the more I get nervous that my little floral cozy cottage is definitely going to be forced into a neighborhood with someone who uses more bones and spikes than Joanna Gaines uses shiplap.

We've hit the middle of May! The birds are singing, the thunderstorms are thundering, and games are... oddly not really releasing. Some are, which we will talk about this week -- but it looks like a lot of titles avoided releasing this week for fear of being crushed by DOOM: The Dark Ages. Which, of course, we'll be talking about this week!

In this week's podcast we talked about the reveals from the WoW team that came out of PAX East.

The last stop on the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Celebration World Tour was in my backyard, and I was lucky enough to get an invite and dance the night away with a few hundred other heroes of Azeroth.

Left to my own devices I will absolutely just keep expanding the backstories I create for each and every tabletop RPG character I make, and truthfully, even characters I make for video games like Baldur’s Gate 3, Wrath of the Righteous or Rogue Trader.  I mean, paragraph after paragraph explaining every single detail of my character’s life and history.

I don’t know why I do this.

This week the Epic Games Store is giving us a bit of whiplash in the thematic juxtaposition between the two games they're offering for free this week: the gleeful gorefest of Dead Island 2, and the devolving dreamscape (perhaps nightmare) that is Happy Game.

This past weekend I was lucky enough to be able to attend PAX East for the first time and experience the gigantic celebration of gaming culture first-hand.
