We will likely be getting the patch 8.2 PTR soon (patent pending) according to a new interview PC Gamer just published with Ion Hazzikostas, the game director of World of Warcraft. That's big enough on its own, but the interview covers a lot of ground: also Ion talks about lessons learned from Battle for Azeroth, how the Heart of Azeroth will change in patch 8.2, how Blizzard designs big open world content zones in the wake of the Timeless Isle and Argus, and a lot more.
So, season 2 of Battle for Azeroth opens on Tuesday alongside Battle of Dazar'alor, and with it comes many of the Azerite changes from patch 8.1.
One of the side effects that came with the new Titan Residuum system in patch 8.1 last month was that it could be acquired from any piece of gear, including that not of your own armor type.

The Tides of Vengeance are coming.
I've been critical of Azerite Armor in the past.
In a recent hotfix, Blizzard has changed the rewards from emissary caches in Battle for Azeroth to allow their Azerite Armor to scale up as high as ilevel 370.
While everyone was distracted by Mike Morhaime stepping down as president of Blizzard Entertainment, World of Warcraft CM Lore took to the forums to announce improvements that are coming to the Azerite Armor system.
