Flying is always on players' minds when a new expansion comes out.
One of the biggest questions that arose when Blizzard announced the leveling squish in Shadowlands was "How is flying going to work?" And now that the Shadowlands alpha is out, we finally have an answer.

There's a whole host of catch-up gear coming in patch 8.3, available through doing the quests in Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms as the forces of N'Zoth attack both regions.
Patch 8.2 is right around the corner, and it's packed with so much content that it's kind of hard to keep up.
Patch 8.2, Rise of Azshara, is coming on Tuesday.
In patch 8.2, we'll finally be able to fly — and that includes the new zones we'll be going to.
Sure, sure, patch 8.2 has two massive new zones, two megadungeons, more of the war campaign (what's going to happen to my buddy Baine?!), and a raid where we finally get to confront Azshara.
