Patch 12.0.5

Player Housing was disabled immediately after WoW patch 12.0.5 due to critical bug, but it’s back now

Patch 12.0.5 launched Tuesday in World of Warcraft, and while there were a lot of features players were excitedly looking forward to -- Decor Duels, Abyss Anglers, or even helping Decimus help us by finishing the Voidforge -- the patch also launched with one major thing players were not expecting or looking forward to: critical bugs that caused the Player Housing system to be disabled, at least in the US and Oceania.

If you've ever wanted to strap your one-handed sword to your World of Warcraft character's back, then great news -- a new dropdown menu in the transmog interface coming in Midnight's patch 12.0.5 will allow us to do just that (and more!) Ever since I acquired my Quickening Blade of the Prince from the original Magister's Terrace, I have kept it in my weapon transmog rotation because it's one of the few one-handed swords that my Mage can wear Cloud Strife-style.

World of Warcraft’s 2026 roadmap shows us some unexpected surprises during Midnight

Continuing on a trend of transparency that started prior to Dragonflight, the World of Warcraft team today gave us a look at a 2026 roadmap that shows both the expected cadence of Midnight's content patches, as well as some new and exciting features and game modes and the return of an older feature that we haven't seen outside of a single experiment during Battle for Azeroth.
