Quel’thalas

After a few weeks of post-Gamescom waiting, Blizzard suddenly released a positive deluge of information on all of its World of Warcraft: Midnight announcements.

There will be 11 new Delves in World of Warcraft Midnight to explore across the expansions first four zones.

Not only is World of Warcraft: Midnight looking to be the epic Void versus Light battle we've desperately craved, it's glowing up some beloved (and previously abused) locations on Azeroth while introducing some new ones.

For the roots of the divide between the few remaining High Elves and the Blood Elves, we must go back to two figures -- Kael'thas Sunstrider and Garithos, self-proclaimed Grand Marshal of the few remaining Alliance forces in the region after Prince Arthas Menethil's betrayal of his father and his kingdom to the Scourge.

Quel'Thalas today is still recovering from the wounds inflicted by the Third War.

We've talked about the origins of the High Elves in their Highborne ancestors, and the Shen'dralar of Eldre'Thalas and their history.

They are a vanishing people.

I'd love to thoroughly cover the lore for every Artifact in the game, but it'll be a long time before I can actually get them all maxed, if ever, so I'm starting with one of my favorites: the Arms Warrior Artifact Strom'kar the Warbreaker.
