It’s Independence Day here in the United States, and given most of our staff lives in the States, do forgive us for having a lighter-than-usual content schedule today. Taking a holiday once in awhile is okay, right? … Right?

Especially on Draenor, where at virtually any moment said beloved and unassuming houseplants could feasibly uproot themselves and try to kill you. You ever seen a man with his mouth caught in a Gorgrond Flytrap? Let me tell you, it ain’t pretty.

Let’s play a game of what’s wrong with this picture. Not only is the guard pictured above taking a lengthy catnap, she’s doing so with her eyes wide open. And she’s doing it by mysteriously sitting on thin air. Either this is some really amazing unforeseen military tactic, or she’s absolutely mastered the art of sleeping on the job. We’ll just…let her snooze while we answer your questions.

Either Dalaran is getting an unannounced troll raid at some point, or the Legion beta servers are just the slightest bit buggy. But just for the record, there’s nothing like a giant shrieking dinosaur thwomping around a major city to wake you up in the morning.

You know what, I take back what I said about Dalaran’s citizens in yesterday’s Queue. It’s obvious they’ve all learned to cope with the idiosyncrasies of living in a flying city by drinking. Heavily. I mean come on, the bowl of that wine glass is larger than her head.

Fun fact: There’s a nice glyph that will turn the Shaman ghost wolf form into a ghost raptor instead.

Even more fun fact: Sheddle Glossgleam will happily make your raptor talons sparkle if you ask politely.

The end result of these two discoveries was everything I could have ever hoped for.

I’m pretty sure Lieutenant Sinclari just became my new favorite Legion NPC, solely for the majestic facepalm she’s pulling off. With all the ridiculous stuff that takes place in Azeroth on a daily basis, it’s nice to see at least one NPC with the presence of mind to be thoroughly exasperated with all of it.

The Underbelly in Legion‘s Dalaran has certainly gotten a lot more…interesting. What’s with this odd little rat farm? Are they pets? Are they minions? Are they tomorrow’s special of the day at the local tavern? We just don’t know. …but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be avoiding that particular dining establishment, just in case.
