As a result of the Diablo anniversary event, I’ve spent considerably more time in the Underbelly than usual the past few days. And man, I can’t help but notice how downright…odd it is down there. Take the above image, for example. Who are those children? What’s with the cupcakes? Why is this all next to a giant pile of snoozing rats? The world may never know.

You might think this trio of wizards are looking at the Broken Isles in the above image, but you’d be wrong. No, they gaze upon the vast, violet expanse of 2017, struck silent by its ponderous hills and valleys that have yet to be explored. At this time, they have no knowledge of whether it will be better or worse than the years that came before it. But they are keenly aware of one striking fact — it is purple. It’s super purple, guys.

I had no idea that Chaos Bolts were actually dragon…ish…things until Alex mentioned it on this week’s livestream, and promptly fired one straight at the camera. On a totally unrelated note, this week’s livestream won’t be released due to some technical issues with the audio. Sorry guys, we’re trying to get it sorted out!

It’s nice to know that even when the world is going to hell in a handbasket, you can count on good old Jastor Gallywix to ignore everything in favor of spending a day in the sauna. I’m pretty sure the only Burning Legion he’s interested in is the one currently keeping the coals in there nice and hot. …can we get rid of this guy already?

You know, I questioned the logic of a half-melted dryad actually being able to successfully give me a quest. Then I remembered that one time that Khadgar shoved his head in a ball to deliver another quest, and realized anything is possible.
