Given what we know about patch 8.3, what do you want to see for the next WoW expansion?

Okay, so we know that everything’s going Old God in patch 8.3, and that’s fine. (Please note: Previous sentence is meant to be imagined as me saying it while sitting at a table, surrounded by Void and tentacles everywhere.) But still, now that we know N’Zoth is coming out of hiding to really wreck everything in the upcoming patch, and that BlizzCon is two weeks away, that leads me to ask the following incredibly important question — what do you, friendly Blizzard Watch readers, want the next expansion to even be? Who do you want to take center stage? What storylines are you the most curious about?

We have a lot of story arcs coming along here — the Forsaken are trying to find their way without Sylvanas at the helm, with groups like the dead Kal’dorei Dark Rangers and other more recent Forsaken somewhat tentatively reaching out to older, more experienced hands at this whole Undeath thing. We have Derek Proudmoore and Calia Menethil, who might be taking part thanks to Lillian Voss reaching out to them — but what exactly is Voss’s motivation?

And forget the Forsaken for a moment — Tyrande Whisperwind and her Army of the Black Moon are apparently setting up shop atop Mount Hyjal, doing something beneath the boughs of Nordrassil. What? What is her aim besides vengeance against Sylvanas? And if that is her goal, what does going to Nordrassil have to do with accomplishing it? Is any of this related to how the Drust of Drustvar also use huge, sacred trees to breach the realm boundaries between life and death? I honestly don’t know, but if you’re going after Sylvanas, you may need to tap into the death aspects of Druidism to pull it off.

There’s so much going on here. Are we going to get Death Druids? Are we going to the Shadowlands? Will we hear from Khadgar or the Dragon Aspects taking a more active role in the future? Or do you want to take a break from all this death and death gods and Sylvanas’s schemes and go to K’aresh, or someplace else? What do you guys want to see in the next expansion?
