What changes would you like to see in dungeons?

The other day I was talking about how I miss Scenarios from Mists of Pandaria and I realized that one of the reasons I miss them is the fast queues — that you could get in as soon as you had three players. And that got me thinking about five player content, like dungeons, heroic dungeons and Mythic+ dungeons. These are all different, of course, and should probably be approached differently. But for normal mode dungeons, the ones we run to level up, I keep thinking about potentially flex scaling them — letting a group as small as three players or as large as nine or more run them.

Back in original World of Warcraft, there were specific dungeons you could run this way, sort of — Blackrock Spire, for example, was technically a raid and you could bring in up to 10 players, or run it with 5. I often was recruited for the dungeon entirely because I had the Seal of Ascension and could open Upper Blackrock Spire,  but while I enjoyed being able to bring a bigger group in case something dropped like the Priest robes, that’s not quite what we’re talking about here.

Now, clearly bringing 10 people to Mists of Tirna Scithe would definitely change the way we approach the mechanics, and you probably don’t want to be able to run M+ with 10, or for that matter scaling it down to 3 players might be kind of nuts. For that matter it’s technically possible to run M+ with only 3 people now, since you can’t just queue up for them anyway. As long as you have to walk in the door to do it, that possibility is open to you. But for normal or even Heroic mode, being able to scale the group size down to the bare minimum of a  tank, healer and one DPS or up to a full 10 player group might make dungeons take less time to queue, and also bring back some of the weirdness of those old UBRS runs with whelps everywhere and utter chaos.

Okay, so I guess those weren’t all fun, but I legitimately loved doing General Drakkisath by having a hunter kite him out of the room while we killed his adds. So what would you change or add to dungeons?
