Blizzard Watch Weekly: How very dashing we all could be (if we collect enough transmog)
Though there haven’t been any huge events this week, there’s still a lot going on — particularly with new must-have transmogs in WoW’s March Trading Post. (Because as you know, transmog is the primary reason to play.) Here’s the breakdown of what happened this week and what’s coming soon in the world of Blizzard Entertainment — plus some gaming suggestions if you aren’t feeling like picking up WoW this weekend. (Though, really, there’s important transmog to collect.)
New this week
- WoW’s March Trading Post rewards just dropped, including a very dashing Sky-Captain’s ensemble (which is in a unique shade of blue that’s going to be hell to match for transmog purposes) and a simply magnificent peacock mount.
- WoW Classic Hardcore Solo Self-Found mode is now live! To start playing, you need to make a new character and opt-in to solo self-found — once you do, we have some suggestions on picking the right crafting profession, addons to help you along the way, and tips on where to find bags, which you are definitely going to need.
- Hearthstone’s anniversary event has begun! The game is 10 years old and by doing the new legendary quest line you can earn golden copies of “gift” cards for each class and a special birthday coin.
Coming soon
- March 3: WoW Classic Season of Discovery buffs XP, increases gold rewards from quests, and slashes the cost of mounts with this coming weeks maintenance. It’s a wild series of buffs, y’all.
- March 3: Warcraft Rumble Season 4 begins, with a new Witch Doctor mini to earn. This is a change from what Blizzard announced for the season back at BlizzCon, so we really don’t know what will happen next with this game.
- March 5: Diablo 4’s mid-season patch launches next week, bringing back six vampiric powers as legendary affixes, including the much-beloved Metamorphosis. (After all, who doesn’t love turning into a cloud of bats?) The Gauntlet and Leaderboards will also (finally) be making their appearances for a new end-game challenge for those who have taken the time to reach the game’s highest level.

What to play this weekend
- We have some gaming advice for you! Our latest list of games to check out this weekend includes the latest entry in the Final Fantasy franchise, a puzzler about cats and boxes, and an eldritch horror fishing game. Like you do.
- If you’ve heard our complaints about Diablo 4 (or have some of your own), you may want to try something different. Last Epoch is the current darling of the ARPG community that has grabbed a lot of attention from Diablo fans. We have tips for Diablo players looking to pick up Last Epoch, as well as thoughts on features Diablo 4 could borrow from the game.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
