Matthew Rossi @MatthewWRossi — Matthew Rossi is a synapsid, perhaps descended from Cynognathus. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up there before leaving to see the world and be mistaken for a sasquatch and/or minor singing celebrity in various locales. He currently lives and writes in Edmonton alongside his amazing and beautiful wife and their cats. He’s written three collections of speculative fiction, Things That Never Were, Bottled Demon and At Last, Atlantis. He loves playing warriors in World of Warcraft, barbarians in Diablo III, and he’s beginning to notice a pattern here.

The Queue: Goodnight Axe

So yeah, Nighthold’s pretty fun and pretty weird. The Chronomantic Anomaly is a strange fight that kind of reminds me of the room in Dire Maul just off the library with Immol’thar in it. The pylons with all the arcane elemental type mobs? Yeah, it definitely felt similar. And I guess that makes sense, since DM was built by and for the Highborne in much the same way Suramar was.

This is the Queue. I admit I may actually run Nighthold LFR on my DK when it comes out, I actually like the raid. Emerald Nightmare never really did it for me and Trial of Valor is a resounding meh, I just don’t really want to kill Helya all that much. Gul’dan, though, I very much would like to kill. Although with my luck he’ll come back as a demon thing.

This is the Queue. Let’s talk Blizzard games.

The Queue: Krasus’ Landing

For whatever reason, whenever I read the words ‘Krasus’ Landing’ my brain immediately conjures up a ‘Dawson’s Creek’ style show set in Dalaran. I guess Season One would have been set in Wrath and been a very sturm und drang story about the forbidden love between Alliance and Horde mages, which of course only got harder when Cataclysm came out and the two factions got really hostile, and they finally broke up for good in Mists. A lot of people thought the show had jumped the shark in Warlords because it was suddenly all about these Orcs and Draenei, but Legion brought a lot of viewers back when the original characters returned, now bitter enemies but still there’s sort of a simmering attraction between them.

What?

Oh, right, the Queue. Fine, we can talk about other stuff.
