Matthew Rossi @MatthewWRossi — Matthew Rossi is a synapsid, perhaps descended from Cynognathus. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and grew up there before leaving to see the world and be mistaken for a sasquatch and/or minor singing celebrity in various locales. He currently lives and writes in Edmonton alongside his amazing and beautiful wife and their cats. He’s written three collections of speculative fiction, Things That Never Were, Bottled Demon and At Last, Atlantis. He loves playing warriors in World of Warcraft, barbarians in Diablo III, and he’s beginning to notice a pattern here.

How fast do you think content should release in an MMO?

Blizzard currently has two MMOs -- the venerable World of Warcraft, which has been in operation for 18 years (19 this November, and it's a little terrifying to realize WoW could vote if it were a person) and the more recent mobile MMO, Diablo Immortal. Now, over the years I've come to consider a certain pace of content delivery to be the norm, but in reality many MMOs release content at a much quicker pace than World of Warcraft.

One of my favorite sets is the Heroic version of the Sanctified Ymirjar Lord’s Battlegear, the red variant. But there’s a really noticeable problem with this set — no, not the belly shirt, I’ve made my peace with that one. Instead, it’s the lack of a belt that is considered part of the set. It used to be the lack of a belt and boots, but then they added the heroic version of the Etched Dragonbone Warboots back in Legion.
