Just how grindy should an MMO be?
Look, no two players are ever going to agree about grind in MMOs.
FTC sues to block Microsoft acquisition of Activision Blizzard
Rumors have been swirling about the FTC trying to block Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, but now it's official: the Federal Trade Commission will sue to block the merger of these two gaming giants.
Some of the old friends — or wary acquaintances — you can meet on the Dragon Isles
While we're likely all familiar with the major characters of the Warcraft universe who are making reappearances during Dragonflight -- the Aspects, Khadgar, and the like -- there's a whole set of NPCs we adventured with in a zone or two in the past who have shown up to the Dragon Isles.
The Queue: So close and yet so far
Yesterday was my birthday and I decided that to celebrate it I was going to do as little as possible. Sometimes that’s all you really want — a day to sit back, spend time with your loved ones (in my case my wife Julian and our cats and dog) and do things like mess around in video games and just exist. It was a nice day.
And now we’re back, answering your questions and listening to Damageplan’s song Save Me, and wishing you all a happy Game Awards day.
Why do you love the things you love in games? Why do ideas and concepts appeal to you in some games but not others?
I was looking at the nominations for The Game Awards this year and thinking about how good I thought Horizon Forbidden West was, and about how it was released in the same year as God of War Ragnarok and Elden Ring so it's probably not going to win.
How often should World Quests reset?

Everything you need to know about Dragonlance and Krynn before playing Shadow of the Dragon Queen, the latest setting coming to D&D
Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen is now available, bringing the world of Krynn to D&D 5e , a setting with almost four decades of lore and worldbuilding under its belt.
What has surprised you most so far in Dragonflight?
Dragonflight has had a lot of surprising moments so far, but in terms of most surprising, it's a toss up between some, well, two pretty big spoiler-y moments and the fluffy Tibetan Mastiff-like dragon-puppies that the Centaurs have.
One D&D playtest revision changes Aardlings, Dragonborn, and Goliaths Species (including how we’re not calling them Races anymore)
A big chunk of the latest One D&D playtest gameplay changes are to the Aardling, Dragonborn, and Goliath, which are emphatically not Races -- because One D&D has also officially done away with the Race designation in favor of the Species label.
What’s your favorite small detail in Dragonflight?
Having finally managed to get logged in and play some Dragonflight, one of my favorite things in the expansion so far is all the dialogue available while talking to NPCs, whether they be major figures like Wrathion or Alexstrasza or minor figures like the inn keeper at the embassy who will, if asked, explain to you why there are so many ruined buildings there.
