As I write this, it’s about to hit 2:00 a.m. — I can’t sleep, but I’m at least watching one of my all-time favorites and go-to “can’t sleep” movies, Annihilation. If you’ve never seen it, it’s a SciFi Horror film from the same folks who made Devs and Ex Machina. It’s incredibly good and one of those movies I feel went more under the radar than it deserves. If SciFi Horror is even remotely something that interests you, go check it out!

But before you do… let’s have ourselves a Queue!

Of the many conversations and "what ifs" currently being thrown around after the surprise reveal that Microsoft plans to buy Activision Blizzard, the topic of long-forgotten games coming back from the dead has been one of the more fun ones to think about.

I’ll be honest, I don’t quite understand where this one came from — but that won’t stop me from using it in a Queue title! (Unless it’s, like, actually mean-spirited or something.)

Hello and happy Thursday, friends! As is tradition, I’m going to be leading off this Queue with a reminder that we have a few days left of Awesome Games Done Quick 2022, and if you haven’t checked it out, you should do so! Anna W. and I even wrote a piece on our favorite runs! It’s rad, wholesome, and it raises a lot of money for a good cause.

I won’t dwell on AGDQ here, though — we’re here to Queue.

Hello and happy 2022, Queue! It’s Thursday, which means it’s not only almost the end of the week, but it’s also my turn to steer this Queue ship through the waves of questions and bring us safely to Port Disqus. Thankfully(?) it won’t be all that bumpy of a ride.

What kind of year would it be if we didn't close out with our collective Game of the Year (GOTY) choices?

Even though I definitely planned this, it’s cool to wind up with two end-of-the-year Queues in a row. There’s a small bit of irony here, given my first answer to last year’s EOY Queue, but hey. Also, yes, once again, I am writing this with like 30 minutes before it goes live.
