The Queue
The Queue: We now return to our regularly scheduled programming
Boy, what a weekend! According to Liz, we’ve had 83 different posts go up in the last few days — that’s so many!!
The only way I knew how to relax after a weekend like that was to go commit a little regicide. Although four pulls before we killed it we had a 0% wipe. Sire Denathrius had 35,000 health left. It was heartbreaking. Which we followed immediately by a 3% wipe. Still, we killed him in the end, and I didn’t even get a sword pet to remember it by or anything!
While I go write a strongly worded letter of complaint, I take you now to — The Queue.
The Queue: Special BlizzConline Wrap-Up Edition
So, now that day 2 of BlizzConline is over and we’ve all had a taste of the future, which is also a taste of the past in some cases like Diablo 2: Resurrected — consider this Queue to be a place for y’all to react as you see fit. What’s up? What are you currently going down a deep well of speculation on? We’re doing Lorewatch today, you can believe Joe and I are musing hard right about now.
Anyway, it’s the Queue. Let’s do this. I’ve got Ministry playing and I’m ready to answer some questions.
The Queue: It’s the BlizzConline Day 1 super special Saturday Queue!
Whew, what a day!
We’re halfway through BlizzConline right now, and boy are my fingers tired! Three cheers to all of the other writers, we made some good words happen yesterday! Seventeen cheers for our editors though — Liz, Dan, Anna, and Mitch have done an absolutely stellar job of wrangling all of us crazy cats into formation.
Since I’m not even supposed to be here today, let’s jump right into — The Queue.
The Queue: You thought it was Liz, but it is me, Kalcheus!
Happy BlizzConline everybody! Everyone here at Blizzard Watch is as busy as Greatfather Winter’s Goblins on the solstice, so I volunteered to take care of the Queue today. Since this is my first time writing it I’m going to answer only the finest questions because there’s a 50/50 chance that they never let me do this again.
The Queue: Splathreen
Seriously, how could this Queue NOT be about Splatoon 3’s reveal announcement? And even if it’s not actually called “Splathreen,” I’m still going to call it that for now because I find it hilarious (and also, RIP Spla2n, the title we never got).
Anyhow, I’m very excited about Splatoon 3, even if it is a long way away.
But enough about that. It’s Queue time.
The Queue: In the long dark night of the soul it is always Mythic Tomb of Sargeras
Couldn’t sleep, head full of bad thoughts, and so it was time to run Tomb of Sargeras on Mythic, and it went better than I expected. Died a bunch but managed to clear it and kill Kil’jaeden, so that’s good.
This is the Queue.
The Queue: Valheim
Ah, to be a dead viking, rafting on the water, probably about to get eaten by a sea monster and lose everything. It’s odd, because there are certain things about this game that are undeniably breathtaking and beautiful. The way the light glimmers red on the water as the last sliver of sun sinks slowly past the horizon, for instance, or the way the game plays with depth of field to make you feel truly immersed in the landscape. But my god does my character look like a two-polygon potato.
This is The Queue, where you ask questions and we break our summery escapism and wrap ourselves in a few dozen blankets to get you the answers.
The Queue: Happy day after Valentines Day
It’s a holiday! Right after a holiday. Who planned that?
While I get to the bottom of this mystery, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: Berzerk on the Atari 2600
Honestly sometimes I just keep playing WoW because I like my Night Elf’s combat animations.
The first game I actually remember playing was Berzerk on the Atari 2600.
The Queue: Just slayin’ demons
Some of you may be aware already, but I’ve been on a real Demon’s Souls kick lately. The remake is downright gorgeous, and it’s oddly easy to get hooked on, despite pretty much constantly dying. I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but it’s a very different type of game than I’m used to, and I like that.
Anyhow, this is Queue time. So let’s Queue it.
