In Patch 8.3, we finally get a legendary item to upgrade and help us out.

Blizzard surprised us all this week by announcing changes to Corruption and Echoes of Ny'alotha, as well as to how quickly you could level up your Legendary Cloak, and then almost immediately hotfixing some of those changes live.

Starting this week, you'll be able to buy specific types of Corruption to apply to gear, removing the randomness from the system — and making it a lot easier for new 120s to gear up.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, the final boss of the expansion has turned out to be the ninth circle of hell on LFR.

If you've felt frustrated at the pace of your Horrific Vision progress and want to be able to gather more Vessels and get your cloak upgraded faster, you'll probably like the hotfixes Blizzard has in store for you.

It's easy to fall into the mindset that all Corrupted gear is a detriment to you by default, and you should therefore be avoiding it like the plague -- but that's not the best way to approach the system.

If you liked the Mage Tower in Legion, then World of Warcraft patch 8.3's Horrific Visions is content that is designed to appeal to you -- it's content you can do solo or in a small group (up to five players) and it's designed to start off with ramping difficulty that will eventually force you out until you get better at the encounters and better geared to resist the sanity draining mechanic of the Vision.

In patch 8.3, we're getting a Corruption system for gear which will replace the current Titanforging mechanic and also give players a degree of control over their armor.
