The Shadowlands redesign of Heirloom gear, which removed XP bonuses, has made Heirlooms a lot less apealing.
Shadowlands is changing the the leveling process.
So I'm still thinking about those Heirloom set bonuses coming in Shadowlands -- or at least the pre-patch for it, when the level squish is slated to happen.
This week we found out how Heirloom items are going to work in Shadowlands. Instead of granting bonus XP for every piece of Heirloom armor, there will be a set bonus for Heirloom items, and the four piece set bonus is a bit of an odd duck.
We all knew that Blizzard was going to do something to heirlooms when the level squish and leveling changes came in Shadowlands, the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion.
I personally prefer the simple approach when it comes to leveling in World of Warcraft right now.
During an inverview with content creator MrGM, Lead Game Designer for World of Warcraft Morgan Day revealed that, with the release of the next expansion, Shadowlands, heirlooms will no longer provide an XP bonus.
