The Queue: Boldly bald

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

Motionless. Bald. I know I talked about this in yesterday’s Queue but I still can’t get over these guys. Right now they have taken the title for Weirdest Thing in the Alpha. We’ll have to wait and see if anything else pops up to take the crown. Until then, let’s get to your questions!

The Queue: The first line of defense

Sometimes you see things in the alpha that you just don’t quite understand, like the frozen, naked, bald, Blood Elf mannequins stationed in strategic locations along the Broken Isles. Why are they there? We don’t know — I’m assuming they’re marking a spot for something. Why the old male Blood Elf model has suddenly turned into a marker, I couldn’t tell you. Nor why they are bald. Or, you know, standing around in Burning Legion central clad only in their skivvies. Let’s just move on to questions I can answer, why don’t we?

The Queue: Scandal & Sleaze

If that headline piqued your interest … I’m sorry to disappoint. There isn’t much scandal or sleaze in today’s Queue. However, I’m attending the Scandal & Sleaze event at the Milwaukee Public Museum tonight and I’m stoked.

The Queue: Scenery overload

Even though the only thing currently open on the alpha is the Demon Hunter leveling experience, it’s not what I’d call boring at all. The team over there has really outdone themselves as far as zone design, and given all the little details just in that one little slice of the Legion experience, I can’t wait to see what the Broken Isles look like — and what kind of visual updates Dalaran got. I loved Dalaran in Wrath, I thought it was an amazing capital city and I’m really excited that we’ll be going back there again. I just hope Jones is still around. I miss that fuzzy little guy.

The Queue: Adorable death rock

Okay so on the one hand, I’m kind of terrified at the sheer size of the infernals on Mardum. I mean I think these things give Deathwing a run for their money, size-wise. On the other, they’re almost kind of…cute? Basically what I’m trying to say here is if Warlocks get to summon these things in Legion, I may just have to re-think my class of choice. Let’s answer some questions, shall we?

The Queue: Welcome to our new Canadian overlords

This header image, as with all of our very best header images, comes from the magnificent Mike Eng (Rades) and is in answer to a question asked by Heffenreffer:

QftQ – are you making the Canadians do all the articles tomorrow? you know cause…. American Thanksgiving

We in fact had a discussion about this earlier in the week, in which Rades and Matticus (two of our Canadian contingent) discussed taking over the site while the Americans were away and covering it with Canadian flags. Matt stipulated that the flag had to contain a no Pepe sign instead of a maple leaf and… let’s just say things went downhill from there, resulting in the image above.

However, to answer the question, both Americans and Canadians contributed to the site today, though I’ll probably be cooking by the time you read this. That out of the way, let’s move on to our daily Q&A.

The Queue: Can we get Lorna back, please?

Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!

I miss the Crowleys. When last we saw either of them, Darius had just agreed to surrender Gilneas City in exchange for his daughter Lorna’s safety, and got the heck out of there before waiting to see what Sylvanas would do next. Since then, we haven’t heard a peep from either one of them. Given that Genn is listed on the Legion cast page, I’m kind of hoping we’ll see both Darius and Lorna make a reappearance — I think Lorna would make an excellent Outlaw. I mean come on, she’s the daughter of a rebel leader and we already know she’s handy with a shotgun, I bet she’s a crack shot with a pistol. And I’m interested in whether or not she demanded she be affected with the Worgen curse just to avoid that whole being risen as Forsaken thing, whether her father continued to try and keep her out of harm’s way, or what exactly happened to them both.
