The Gear Grease Fried Filet can only be found on the remote reaches of Darktide Roost in Shadowmoon Valley. This is probably a good thing, not because it was a bad sandwich, but because it looked at me the entire time I was eating it. Somehow, not even the Leech bonus was worth it.
The Queue: In which Fox communes with nature

I had the sheer joy of a Fox Van Allen visit earlier this week when he drove through my town during his lengthy cross-country road trip, and of course I couldn’t pass up the chance to introduce him to some of Colorado’s friendlier wildlife. No ground squirrels were harmed in the taking of this photo — but they did receive a nice pick-me-up for the day and a substantial pile of critter-friendly food to stash away for those cold winter months.

I love the new models. I love them to pieces — it’s great seeing the variety of emotions and expressions you can get now, and it’s such a gigantic improvement from the original vanilla models. More importantly, I love how human males at work now look like they’re simultaneously clasping their hands and listening intently, like they’re trying to come up with the perfect manufactured flatulence sound instead of doing whatever it is they should be doing.
The Queue: Who are these angry men?
Welcome back to The Queue, our daily Q&A feature for all of Blizzard’s games! Have a question for the Blizzard Watch staff? Leave it in the comments!
Look, I generally think I have a pretty good handle on Warcraft lore. But I don’t think I know who these two angry dudes are on WoW‘s map pane. One of them is sort of Illidan-y satyr-ish, the other is wielding lightning in a very Thor-in-a-wizard-robe kind of way. I’m assuming they’re constellations of some sort, given the stars haphazardly placed on both of them, but they don’t look Titan or Sargeras enough to really fit either one. One of these days I’m going to have to find a definitive answer for that one. Until then, I’ll settle for answering the questions you guys have thrown my way.

Today is my birthday, Aimee, and I don’t want any questions from you. I just want you to hand over every single last thing on that cart — except for the gingerbread man, you can keep that until sometime December-ish. Also I want you to direct me to whoever has the good coffee out here. And while I’m waiting, I’ll answer some Queue questions, because why not?
The Queue: I need a ghost raven mount

I finally managed to get the Talon Queen title, and on my flight back to my garrison I flew over an area in Talador that threw a ghostly effect on my character. I don’t think I’ve ever taken that particular flight path before, because the suddenly ghostly raven isn’t something I ever recall seeing before. However, I kind of want one as an actual mount now. The level of detail on that model is way more apparent with a transparency applied. I don’t think it’ll ever happen, but it made for a pretty screenshot anyway. On to the questions!

You know, I like the revamps they did to the Eastern and Western Plaguelands in Cataclysm, but sometimes I find myself missing the old quests. It’s not that they were objectively better or worse, it’s mostly that they encapsulated the horrors of the Third War so perfectly. Obviously we’ve moved on from the Third War by now, but in vanilla, it was neat (and incredibly creepy at times) to have that snapshot of just what the Third War did to Lordaeron and the people that lived there. Yes, the Forsaken were a major part of that, but I liked seeing the stories of the regular people who lived and died there, too.

I really miss the Pandaren shrines. It was a nice place for getting things done, there were usually a lot of people there, but mostly I miss the Pandaren NPC on Alliance side that would play a song for some gold. We don’t really have anything like that in Warlords, although I suppose a world on the brink of being torn apart isn’t really concerned with snappy tunes, right? Speaking of bards…let’s get to the questions.
The Queue: No seriously, it’s all about Blizzard games here, we mean it
Adam and Alex are both still out of the office, so we’re continuing in our dedicated and unwavering coverage of all things surrounding Blizzard gaming. And definitely not at all talking about anything that didn’t happen in yesterday’s Queue, because it didn’t happen, of course. You didn’t see it. And I’ve had a really good time not doing any of it, but I’ll be handing the reins back over to Rossi for a few days now. With that in mind, let’s get to those burning questions, why don’t we?
The Queue: Definitely not a rebuttal to the non-answer about Dragon Age
Adam and Alex may be out of the office today, but that’s no reason to totally change the editorial direction of the site. Absolutely not. Today’s Queue is just like any other Queue about Blizzard’s games, with no inter-office arguments intelligent and passionate discussion at all.
Hey look! I got a neat photo of a lightning storm yesterday. How about that? It’s like Thrall decided to have a tantrum out here or something. Luckily, nobody was set on fire, and to my knowledge, no usurped former Warchiefs met any kind of grisly ends, either. Let’s get to the questions! Yes, questions.
