Two weeks have passed since we last spoke, and things haven't been quiet on the Shaman front since then.

Blizzard's approach to class design in Legion centers around the "distinctive identity" of a class and its specializations.

The return of the Legion alpha came with the addition of the Shaman class, which means there's a new class hall to tour.

As we get closer to Legion and learn more about the next expansion, the excitement is palpable.

As we make our way through the Winter Veil season, updated builds of the Legion alpha have been released, and with them we are starting to get our first looks at both the Restoration Shaman spells and abilities as well as the Restoration Shaman Artifact, the Scepter of Azshara.

The Legion alpha is starting to pick up steam as it moves along, with more information is trickling out as testing progresses.

Between our talent selections and our Artifact weapons, Shaman are going to have more interesting decisions to make when we start leveling in Legion.

In the upcoming Legion expansion, one of the new features is the Artifact, a weapon steeped in lore that gains power not only as you level, but also as you spend time questing and completing goals even after you reach the max level.
