The Queue: Look I happen to think he’s adorable

I got a new pet while we were in between leveling streams last week, and nobody seems to appreciate him in quite the same way as I do. Look, Joe might not be fluffy or cute, and he might not have flappy wings, but who can resist his beaming grin, especially when it’s flanked by little mandibles that look kind of like baby T-rex arms? I definitely couldn’t, so he’s my buddy whether anyone else likes it or not. Poor Joe. Don’t worry buddy, I totally love you.

No really though, why is this mailbox all the way out in Sholazar Basin? I mean, this is Hemet Nessingwary we’re talking about here. You’re supposed to be used to roughing it and all that. Why the mailbox? And what postman in their right mind agreed to slog through miles of jungle just to deliver what is most likely one piece of actually important mail and a bunch of Fingerhut catalogues? Next expansion, I want to see evidence of Azeroth’s postal service. I want to see postal workers out in the wild. I think that would be fun. Moving on to questions!
The Queue: This game is full of bugs

Okay you know, I’m really happy with the amount and variety of Battle Pets we got for this expansion. But every time I pass by one of these trees in Tanaan and see these weird little mosquito-looking glowbug things, I really want one. I know they’re just part of the scenery, but they’re awfully cute, in that bug kind of way, aren’t they? Let’s get to the questions.
The Queue: I always feel like

Sometimes when I go digging through old screenshots, I stumble across images that I simply don’t remember taking, nor why I took them. This is one of those cases, although I’m guessing it has to do with the creepy painting this poor guy has to deal with on a daily basis. Forget everything else and just look at that painting for a second. That’s a painting. That means that whoever was painting that portrait had to deal with the thousand yard stare the entire time he was painting it. No wonder the quality is a little low, I’d be in a hurry to finish the thing too, if I were the painter. But we have some questions we should probably be getting to, don’t we?

I’m catching up to what I missed with last week’s leveling stream and I found a new friend. Or he found me. He followed me home. I’m gonna keep him. I’m not sure how much of a fighter he’ll be, but hey, at least he’ll be useful for getting stuff off of the top shelf, right? I’m not sure what to name him yet, though. Or, you know, how he sees anything.

So the other really cool part of the VGL concert I attended was the very last encore, which brought every special guest composer to the stage for a singalong of Still Alive. With everyone in the audience participating. They flashed the lyrics on the screens for us, just in case, but I don’t think there was anyone attending that really needed them. If you have a chance to catch Video Games Live in your area or somewhere nearby, go do it — it’s an experience that really shouldn’t be missed.
The Queue: Conducting the elements

So while the rest of you were busy devouring Legion‘s announcement, I was off at Red Rocks for Video Games Live. I’m pretty sure one of the highlights of the whole experience was when Russell Brower took the stage to conduct a Warlords piece, and the wind kicked in precisely when the orchestra struck up the first few notes. Seeing a concert in an outdoor amphitheater like Red Rocks was amazing enough, but to hear that track, surrounded by giant rock walls on either side while the wind swirled around us all and nearly took the sheet music off the stands was downright eerie. It was like we were on Draenor. I still have goosebumps! And we have so many questions, so let’s get to those!
The Queue: Giant metal angry painbot

I never actually realized that Fel Reavers have faces. They have teeth. Where did they get the teeth from? What were they before they were giant mental angry painbots? Were they living creatures at some point? I mean, Fel Reavers are creepy enough with that whole being able to just sneak up on you and everything, but they have teeth, man. Teeth.
The Queue: Should we tell them?

For some reason, the forces stationed in Outland are studying maps of Southshore. Or at least it really looks like Southshore. Uh … so do we tell them about that whole cataclysm thing, or do we just let them be, at this point? Also, why are they interested in Southshore at all? I mean, it wasn’t exactly a tactical powerhouse or anything before it was … you know, goo central.

One of these days, Chad and I will save the whole world. We’ll save all of Outland and we’ll make it really cool again. Or at least that’s what Chad tells me. I think Chad might be overestimating our importance just a little here. I was kind of bummed that last week’s livestream had so many difficulties that we had to call it, but hey, there’s always next week, right? For now, let’s answer some questions.
