Yes, you can use your Flight Master’s Whistle in Kul Tiras and Zandalar

You might have been afraid that the good old Flight Master’s Whistle will go away in Battle for Azeroth, but don’t fret, it’s here to stay. Here’s how you’ll be able to use it while questing in Kul Tiras and Zandalar.

While you’re leveling, you’ll have access to ferries to travel the waters of Zandalar and Kul Tiras. You’ll also have the usual set of flight masters to send you up and above most of each continent. The Flight Master’s Whistle won’t come into play until you’ve hit level 120.

Once you’re at the new max level, you’ll need to have also set up your Alliance or Horde bases on the opposing faction’s land and raised all of the reputations up to at least Friendly. Once that’s done, you’ll be able to complete a quest called A Mission of Unity (here’s the Alliance version) which will not only unlock World Quests, but the ability to use your whistle wherever you want to.

The whistle should help you easily get around each continent with ease, traveling back to the nearest flight master is super convenient and should help you clear out the World Quests as quick as possible. If you didn’t know, completing the World Quests will net you tons of Azerite Power and therefore a much better Heart of Azeroth. If you really work at it, you’ll be ready to tackle the Uldir raid when it comes out in September.

If for some reason you have misplaced your Flight Master’s Whistle, you can get a new one from Khadgar in Dalaran. Given its huge usefulness during the last expansion though, I’d say you should keep it around. You never know, we could get an Argus-like zone in an upcoming patch and be in dire need of the whistle again. The true champion of Azeroth may be this small whistle you carry around in your pocket. Don’t leave it behind!
