The Blizzard Watch crew will be engaging in more D&D adventures this December 14th

I have felt kind of like I’m failing the group in that we haven’t seen either a dragon or a dungeon in the past few sessions of the Blizzard Watch Dungeons and Dragons game. The last session saw a fair bit of combat, weird magic, odd doors to other planes of existence, and guys with big metal hats and magic sticks. It’s been a rough slog for our intrepid adventurers, stranded on a mysterious island, told they may be replaced by shady dopplegangers, and now just trying to figure out what’s going on in an old magic temple.

Our party consists of

  • Kainehe, a Water Genasi Sorceress played by Elizabeth Harper
  • Mischief, a Tiefling Rogue embodies by Anne Stickney
  • Fizzl, a Kenku Bard serving as the avatar for our Michael Mitchell
  • Mediel, a Dwarf Cleric that Deb Montague speaks through
  • Wilyur Rustspark, a Gnome Mage brought to life by Joe “Lodur” Perez
  • Zellan, an Elven Mage who pretends sometimes to be Cory Taylor

This is the first session with all the players since session 4, as Mitch had to miss session 5, and I for one am looking forward to seeing what kind of chaos he can wreak once he’s back. We have a whole lot of dead Githzerai, a gateway that leads out into a world with three suns in the sky, purple plants, and a whole lot of strange noises off in the distance. What are the players going to do? Are they going to keep the party split up and end up possibly on different planes of existence? I won’t pretend I don’t want that to happen. I want that to happen. It will be so terrible and exciting if half the party ends up somewhere entirely else from the other half.

We’ve played five sessions so far, and if you’re interested in hearing them, here they are.

  1. The increasingly poorly named original One-Shot Spectacular
  2. We’re On A Boat
  3. Life’s a Beach
  4. Try not to kill the Kenku, K?
  5. Curse of the Dice Bot

So yeah, this weekend feels like a good one for you all to catch. We’re going live on the Blizzard Watch Twitch channel on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. CST if you want to join us, and we’ll be uploading the session to SoundCloud in a post later if you have something else to do on a Saturday in mid-December. We’re heading towards some things actually being, if not resolved, at least finally understood. I’m looking forward to seeing what the party does with all this.
