What BlizzCon panels are you most looking forward to?

BlizzCon 2023 is just a couple days away, and while the schedule is lacking some old favorites there’s still plenty to get excited about, especially if many of our predictions come true. Since there’s only one stream to follow this year, we won’t have to make decisions as what to watch at any given time, but there are still some panels and presentations I’m looking forward to.

Top of the list as always is the Opening Ceremony. It’s been four years since the last one, Chris Metzen is back, and there’s a really good chance that both World of Warcraft and Diablo 4 will be announcing new expansions. Throw in the possibility that we may finally get an official announcement of the Upcoming Survival Game and it could be one of the most exciting Opening Ceremonies in BlizzCon history.

As World of Warcraft is my primary franchise, the What’s Next panel is going to have my full attention. Not only for its details regarding the likely next expansion, but also for seeing the plan for 2024. I don’t know if it’s fair to assume we’ll get another schedule like we did for 2023, but even a less robust plan will still illuminate what will be happening as Dragonflight ends and the new expansion begins. The Deep Dive should also provide lots of good info about the new expansion so that’s a must see as well.

The other panel I’m most interested in is actually kind of an odd one: the Warcraft Rumblings panel on Friday evening that will be discussing Warcraft Rumble. While my interest in the game isn’t that strong, I have to admit I’m very curious as to what the plans for the game are going forward. Hopefully the presentation will cover more than what’s available at release.

In the end, though, I’ll likely be watching every panel. What about you? Which panels are you pumped for? Do you expect any big surprises at the Opening Ceremony? And do you have your fingers crossed that Darin De Paul will once again be on stage shouting “Candy!” like I do?
