I am going to be entirely honest and say that up until writing a post about it yesterday, I never imagined we would even be able to consider a future in which a new Warcraft strategy game would be a thing.

It's been twelve years since a new installment of the Warcraft series from the top-down RTS perspective.  Not surprising, of course -- it's long been the accepted and stated wisdom that World of Warcraft provides pretty much all of the Warcraft the company wants.  But it turns out that Blizzard isn't quite so dead set on closing that door after all, as Starcraft 2 producer Tim Morten outright stated at Gamescom that the team will be sitting down and discussing the possibility of a Warcraft RTS following the release of Legacy of the Void.

You know how people talk a lot about Wrath of the Lich King and how it served as the finest hour of WoW's design? It wouldn't be fair to say that Final Fantasy XIV is entirely a spiritual successor, but it has a whole lot of obvious points of comparison.

Is Enhancement just not broken enough to be fixed? Does it need to be fixed? And what would a fix even look like?

Overwatch's Winston is not actually a monkey: he's an ape. And now we get to see just how he performs in actual Overwatch combat.

Would you like more cross-game integration and rewards? Or do you feel like the little cross-promotional items that already exist are enough if not a bit too much?

I may be in the minority, but I'd happily trade in some of the rewards from Garrisons just to have a Garrison that felt a little more distinct for me...

If every patch had to include one specific addition to the game, what would that one thing be?

I really do not know how I feel about Timewalking dungeons. On the one hand, as I've discussed before, I'm excited to go back in time with the modern Enhancement toolkit, since there are many times when massive AoE damage and useful crowd control were the pinnacle of dungeon design.
