One of the biggest (in terms of success) raid guilds in the world has decided to step back. Blood Legion, a US raiding guild on the Illidan server, has decided to scale back their raiding hours.

I run one or two dungeons a day. I used to run more, but once my gear got better than anything in them, it wasn't really worth the effort beyond the dose of garrison resources, and now I'm mostly running that second one out of pure stubbornness.

So far, we seem to be taking part in a weirdly cyclical version of history, where things happen out of place and out of order from the timeline we know. But there's an undercurrent of familiarity, as if time was attempting to reassert itself.

So last night was my first Blackrock Foundry run, assuming you don’t count LFR (which I’m not) and it was interesting. My DPS went from really bad to sorta okay once I got two Taner’s Terrible Spine‘s off of Gruul. Expect a warrior column about raiding as Single-Minded Fury soon. It’s definitely interesting to gear switch from the days of 25 man heroic raiding to the new normal/heroic flex system – I doubt I’ll even look at mythic this expansion, and I’m fine with that. Getting my alt (who I guess is now my main?) geared up for raiding and getting him into BRF was interesting, it feels a lot like I just started playing WoW after a long break, although I didn’t actually take much of a break.

Anyway, on to your questions.

 

When I hit level 100 I had over 50k gold. I know, that's nothing, some of you are gold capped, but for me it was the best nest egg I've ever had going into an expansion. It's all gone now.

If you don't want more spoilers about patch 6.2 and the legendary questline, you should probably avoid this post.

Heroes of the Storm isn't even out of beta yet and I can't go a night without someone talking to me about playing it, so it's no surprise that the hype machine for the game is rolling on strong.

So, last week when patch 6.1 dropped, one of the secrets it contained was the mysterious Voidtalon of the Dark Star mount. We were told precious little about this mount - we didn't know where it could be found or what you had to do to find it. Well, as players are wont to do, they rolled up their sleeves and got to exploring Draenor, and reports are starting to trickle in.

There's an anecdote I like to tell about the first dungeon I ran at level 100.

It's no secret that I've been playing a lot more lately: leveling up a host of warriors, getting geared up, doing some raiding. It's been fun. But one thing I really hate is the feeling of compulsion, that I have to log on to get my followers all set doing missions, clean out my mine, go trap some critters for savage blood, etc.
