The Queue
The Queue: Sometimes I get too excited.
So I started off this Queue by looking in the Blizzard Watch Discord for a couple of questions and seeing one from Jaigerbomb about transmog. As we all know, that’s like number 2 on the Matthew Rossi Must Answer This scale, right under prehistoric fauna and just above angry people with big weapons yelling and hitting things, and so I answered in a flash.
And then it occurred to me that this question was from a few days ago, so I went back in and looked, and sure enough it had already been answered in a previous Queue. I am sad now.
This is the Queue. I am having a sads.
The Queue: Florals, for spring? Groundbreaking.
One thing I really like to do with transmog is to pull one accent accessory that doesn’t match. It’s almost always a flower crown.
This is The Queue, where you ask us questions and we’re usually fashionably late with the answers.
The Queue: Movin right along until…
We may not be World First raiders but my guild has been doing pretty well in Sepulcher. We took a bit of a slower start to the tier than usual, spending a little more time in Normal than we normally do to get a few extra tier pieces for people and last night we finally saw some good progress into Heroic. We cleared all the way up through to Halondrus in just three hours, getting first kills on the Prototype Pantheon, Lihuvim, and Xy’mox 2: Portal Boogaloo. We even managed to knock a bunch of time off of our best Dausegne kill. It turns out that getting powerful upgrades like second legendary items and tier set bonuses really helps… go figure!
Then came Halondrus.
While he may not be as tough on Heroic as he is on Mythic, it’s possible that he may take us a few more attempts than the last few bosses…
While I look up some good recipes for crab cakes, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: Every crew is a chaos crew
In Critical Role Campaign 2, part of the group decided to call themselves the “chaos crew,” but it’s really the Campaign 3 group that brings true chaos. But can anyone really call themselves a chaos crew? When you put any group of people together, chaos ensues. Just look at the chaos Mitch brings to our lives every day. Just look at the chaos of a raid group of people. (Particularly my raid group. Have you ever seen us? It’s a wonder we get anything done.) And look at John de Lancie in any Star Trek series he’s graced — chaos.
The world is chaos. Unpredictable and frequently maddening.
And of course the Queue is chaos too, so let’s embrace calamity and answer (maybe) some questions (also maybe).
The Queue: Kirb-eve
It’s been a long time since I’ve looked forward to a Kirby game this much. The (apparently) first fully 3D Kirby adventure hits the Switch tomorrow, AKA tonight at midnight, and even though I have a lot of Elden Ring left to go, I’m still more than happy to take a small break for the pink puffball. And hey, apparently it’s a pretty easy title that actually ends, so it’s kind of the breath of fresh air I need in my games right now.
Anyhow, that’s tonight. It’s right now, and right now is The Queue.
The Queue: Life is stressful
I tried to come up with a fun header for this, but the fact is, it’s been rough lately and I just didn’t have anything left in the tank for something jovial. I will say, if you’re having a hard time, try and reach out to someone. It can make a difference.
The Queue: Spring, or something like it
It seems to have turned over to springtime for those of us in the northern hemisphere, or at least that’s what all the azaleas would have me believe. I actually hung up the hammock for a little while yesterday — only to notice a telltale yellowish tinge all over the thing. Ah, right. It’s also, therefore, coincidentially, pollen season.
This is The Queue, where you ask us — ACHOO! — questions and we give you the a… give you aaa… ACHOO!
The Queue: I am always ready for a nap ̶o̶n̶ ̶F̶r̶i̶d̶a̶y̶
That’s my secret Liz, I’m always ready for a nap.
While I go and find the best place for a quick snooze, it’s time for — The Queue.
The Queue: We are always ready for a nap on Friday
Every time I’m writing the Queue, it’s either late at night or early in the morning so I can get it done before the day gets going, and I often would rather be napping. Fridays, after all, are the slide into the weekend where you can catch up with all the sleep you’ve missed out on over the week. So it should be nap time… but I have to get get this done first.
So let’s answer some questions, and then we can all have a nice Friday nap. Yeah! Let’s Queue!
The Queue: Late? Early? Let’s find out!
The Queue is not at its regular time today. Why? Well, that answers depends on when I finish this and if not-regular-time means early or late. Let’s see how long it takes me to get through a Queue.
In 3…2…1… QUEUE!
