The Queue: I got a new pet
Welcome to The Queue, the Q&A column for all things Blizzard related. If you have a question for the Queue, leave a comment and you may see it answered tomorrow!
I have a new pet. It is the best pet ever, there is no convincing me otherwise, and if you really thought I’d name it anything else well, I don’t know what to say to you. But I do know how to answer questions, so let’s do that instead!
The Queue: Brontosaurus Rises?
Guys, I know I’m kind of a dinosaur nut. But you can stop tweeting to me about Brontosaurus. For starters, the debate has just been started, not settled. It may well be years before we have a definitive consensus from the paleontologists of the world on whether Brontosaurus is a legitimate species. The study is very interesting, but it just opens the door on the discussion, and more work will be needed. Besides, let’s be honest – you’re all gonna keep calling it Brontosaurus no matter what.
It’s late so I’m sitting here listening to Ministry and writing The Queue.

You know what you should do? Go and load our site on your phone — it’s much more mobile friendly now. We’re using specific technology to avoid a lot of the excess you get otherwise, and the result is that it’s pretty darn fast.
We’ll also be undergoing some additional tech upgrades in the coming weeks. We’ve been getting a bit spiky traffic lately, and while I thought I’d be able to wait until this summer to put things in place to deal with that, it’s becoming apparent that I need to act sooner. So changes are on the way! All good stuff for this little site of ours.
The Queue: Token frenzy
Questions were a bit light in the comments yesterday, so I’d like to issue a reminder: The Queue is Blizzard Watch’s daily Q&A feature. We take your questions from the comments of the post, and if we’re able, we answer them to the best of our ability. WoW, Hearthstone, whatever — any game, bring it on.
The Queue: Battle.net client, Bud, Heroes, BlizzCon, and zones
Have you guys signed up for our weekly newsletter yet? We just launched our first edition today! You should go sign up right over here and get in on all the Blizzard News Fun (it’s capitalized like that because it’s super fun).
I’m actually looking forward to doing this quite a bit — it’s always something we wanted to do elsewhere but never got the chance to. We have so many news, guides, and opinion articles that things tend to get lost in the shuffle, so this is a great way to stay on top of what’s really happening in our community. We’re considering making some other things happen with it too, like setting up a short lore spot for one of our lore nerds to opine on, or putting some guild LFGs in it (in a very subtle way, of course).
Okay, enough talk, Queue time!
The Queue: BlizzCon, Harrison Jones, lockboxes, and more
Much of yesterday’s discussion in the comments related to Easter celebrations. What did I do for Easter? Nothing. Because I’m a curmudgeon. Holidays are for the birds. Onward, to the Q&A!
The Queue: Suspended
Welcome to the Queue, the daily Q&A column for all things Blizzard.
Earlier this week I was goofing around in Dragon Age: Inquisition and found a really neat set of ruins where everything was just … frozen in time. It was weird and kind of creepy. But it was also really visually striking, and I found myself thinking back to the Caverns of Time and how I’d like to see more stuff with it. It also made me wonder if bronze dragons have the capacity to simply halt time altogether — after all, we got a really cool sequence of time reversal in the Murozond encounter during Cataclysm. I’m sort of hoping we haven’t seen the last of the Infinite or the bronze dragonflight, because both concepts are just too interesting to pass up.
Also, I did in fact fix the whole frozen temple thing and everything promptly collapsed. I’m still a little sad about that one.
The Queue: We need more Rexxar
Welcome to the Queue, the daily Q&A column for all things Blizzard.
One of today’s questions reminded me that we really don’t have enough Rexxar right now. That’s a situation that should be fixed, because Rexxar is basically the best, even if he doesn’t have Misha on this version of Draenor. I’ll forgive that. But I still think we could use more of everyone’s favorite Mok’Nathal.
The Queue: My fever is writing The Queue today
I spent last night thinking about humans. We’re terrifying if you really stop and think about us. We can eat things that are toxic to most other species. We can survive broken bones, gunshot wounds, all manner of injuries that would incapacitate or even kill most other species on Earth. Humans used to hunt by simply walking after our prey until it fell down dead from exhaustion. Then we figured out how to make things get dead even more efficiently. Spears, spear-throwers, slings, bows… we’re a terrifying bunch.
The Queue: I’m late!
The Queue is late today, but I have a very good reason — see, I was finishing the first round of payments for the writers at Blizzard Watch, and I entirely blanked that I needed to write this.
Mind elsewhere and all that. Good times. Let’s get down to some Q&A.
