World of Warcraft hotfixes for March 19
Today's list of hotfixes is pretty short, but there are a few major issues that have been addressed. The Iron Maiden's health has been reduced by 25% on Raid Finder difficulty, which should reduce the length of the encounter. In addition, events in Ashran are no longer on individual timers -- events are now randomly selected at regular intervals.
Totem Talk: The strange relationship between Enhancement and totems
If you were so inclined, you could argue that totems were counting down the hours until they got removed from the game as soon as Enhancement was made a viable spec in The Burning Crusade. I wouldn't make that argument myself, but it sure does sound convincing when you look at it the right way. Sort of sideways, maybe squint a little.

A new short story has been released on the official website. The Code of Rule, by Ryan Quinn, gives us one of those chunks of lore we were missing from the development of Warlords of Draenor's story -- how exactly the ogres of Highmaul allied with the Iron Horde in the first place.
Has RNG outlived its usefulness?
RNG is short for random number generator, and its the randomness when you do something like roll for loot, or even the randomness that determines whether a certain piece of loot even drops - whether loot is set to personal, or you're using master looter, there's always some randomness because a boss doesn't drop everything it could drop when you kill it.
