The War Within

Now that the launch of World of Warcraft: The War Within is only days away I have been running down my checklist of tasks both in and out of the game to prepare.

World of Warcraft's latest expansion The War Within will take players through the depths of Khaz Algar into the realm of Azj-Kahet where we'll battle against the machinations of the Harbinger of the Void Xal'atath.

With the upcoming rollout of Hero Talents on top of an already busy talent selection page, the question arises: what comes after this?

The World of Warcraft: The War Within will give us a new Season and a new raid to explore -- Nerub-ar Palace.

I know that every single one of your characters is in your Warband now, but it still seems like the ones who get to sit around the campfire on your character select screen are the A-team.

With The War Within's release date rapidly closing in on us, the World of Warcraft team has been pushing little teasers and images and rundowns to pique our collective appetite for the upcoming expansion, and Alleria: Light and Shadow may be the pinnacle.

There are four new Renown factions in The War Within that players will become familiar with when the expansion begins on August 26 -- the Council of Dornogal, Assembly of the Deeps, Hallowfall Arathi, and the Severed Threads.

I'm making some assumptions here, but I think it's a pretty safe assumption that Khadgar's day is not going to improve from this point on.

Prior to the imminent release of The War Within, the World of Warcraft team released a short cinematic to catch you up on the lore of the last few expansions which led us up to here.
