Shadow Word: The importance of Void Entropy

Not too long ago, Celestalon took to the forums to post a reply to a very well thought-out breakdown of Shadow Priests heading into patch 6.2.  The entire post is quite lengthy, but to any dedicated Shadow Priest, it’s a must-read (as is the reply from Celestalon).  Instead of reiterating points made in the post, I wanted to take a moment to address a specific part of Celestalon's response about Blizzard's idea of what it means to be Shadow: (more…)

The Queue: Because it is bitter

One of my favorite poems is In the Desert by Stephen Crane. It’s a short poem, so I feel safe reproducing it here.

In the desert
I saw a creature, naked, bestial,
Who, squatting upon the ground,
Held his heart in his hands,
And ate of it.
I said, “Is it good, friend?”
“It is bitter—bitter,” he answered;
“But I like it
“Because it is bitter,
“And because it is my heart.”

BlizzCaps: It’s good to be the king

"Last night I got my reputation with the Hand of the Prophet up high enough to be able to buy their cosmetic toybox item Karabor Councilor's Attire," writes submitter Paladave of Clan Wilkes on Garona (US-A). "I wasn't expecting to like the outfit as much as I do. In fact, with the nice circlet headgear, I actually felt more kingly than councilorly. That gave me the idea to stop by Varian's place and see how I measured up."
