There's an old chestnut about how if you confront an average D&D party with a door, they'll try anything except going through it.

It's a big month for World of Warcraft, with a pair of absolutely massive patches: WoW Classic Anniversary launched The Burning Crusade pre-patch last week, and modern World of Warcraft launches the Midnight pre-patch this week.

The Burning Crusade Classic anniversary pre-patch is now live and players have until February 5 when the expansion launches to ready themselves for Outland.

The Cooldown Manager is an in-game tool to help players track their ability cooldowns, buffs, and debuffs, replicating functionality that has usually been provided by addons such as WeakAuras and TellMeWhen.

My favorite part of Hearthstone’s latest miniset, Echoes of the Infinite, was when Morchie showed up, calmly said “IT’S MORCHIE TIME!!!” and Morchied all over those guys.

We're waiting on a whole lot this week -- servers to come up for the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary realms pre-patch, and for the Midnight pre-patch next week, and all the sweeping changes that brings.

Tuesday brings the Midnight pre-patch and a number of systems changes, from transmog to UI to class overhauls.

I found this post on Reddit and frankly, it resonated with me.

Sometimes you wake up and want to watch the world burn. And sometimes you wake up and your inner kaiju wants to crash through Tokyo. It’s hard to say which force of destruction will manifest at any given time… but for now, I’m trying to think positive thoughts for the poor Warcraft server team, who was up all night trying to cajole WoW Classic into running. I hope you’ve scheduled some nap time into your day.
