I've been getting into Pet Battles more because of Anna's brilliant to-the-point guides, and while I know there are better pets out there to use, I'm partial to expanding my army of demonic giraffes minions. Thankfully, most of these are drops I can farm rather than tameables out in the world, so it almost doesn't require pet battling skill at all.

I can heard someone accusing me of hating fun even as I type this, and its true. I hate fun. From my black basalt throne, I drink a goblet of pain and despair and my ebon wings unfold, blotting out the sun as I plot the destruction of fun. The L.E. Craft name is quite familiar for those of us who keep an eye on NPC names in WoW . Torturer, Samantha and Jonathan have shown up in previous expansions. In Battle for Azeroth, you can find author Laurence E. Craft (Initials L. E. Craft) in Boralus and get a signed first edition of his latest work. He's yet another surprise in what's turning out to be an expansion full of these little bits of color. A guild member pointed out the Wowhead announcement so I had to go see what he offered. If you don't know Boralus very well, he can be a bit of a pain to find. The carrot shows his location.

Wowhead noted today that in the latest Battle for Azeroth build, players in Mythic+ dungeons are prevented from swapping gear after the countdown timer has finished.

We've seen a lot of hype over Before the Storm, the upcoming novel from Christie Golden that leads into the events of Battle for Azeroth. Now we have an official excerpt from the book, and it's an interesting bit of meta-narrative because it's a letter from Anduin Wrynn to Sylvanas Widnrunner. I'm not sure if a spoiler warning counts here -- it's an official excerpt released as a promotion for the novel -- but just in case, if you're staying away from any hints about this novel then read no further.
