Breakfast Topic: Do you craft items to sell?
My main is a jewelcrafter and an engineer, and neither of these professions were learned for anything other than giving myself a boost. I've had engineering since I created the character back in Burning Crusade, but I've flipped my secondary profession around a few different times to something I felt would be useful -- in Wrath I had leatherworking for a short period of time. I seem to have settled on jewelcrafting as a semi-permanent one for now though, mostly because I always need gems for something.
Know Your Lore: Who is the Cowled Ranger?
Warlords of Draenor plays with time and space in ways that aren't as obvious as the initial step through the Dark Portal. One of these includes the means by which we recruit Archmage Vargoth to be our follower. One of the strangest is the Cowled Ranger, because while she appears to be a simple night elf on a mission, things get complicated once she reveals what that mission is - the Cowled Ranger is attempting to answer a question players have asked since The Burning Crusade came out.
Role Play: Draenei and age in roleplay
Introduced in Burning Crusade, this race of space-traveling eredar who avoided corruption by Sargeras has a story that spans back thousands upon thousands of years, longer than even the history of the night elves -- and with far less definition. If you want a solid list of historical references and events that shape your character, playing a human, orc or even elf would probably suit you nicely. If you want a gigantic expanse of absolutely nothing that you can proceed to fill at your leisure, you might want to look at a draenei.
Totem Talk: The strange relationship between Enhancement and totems
If you were so inclined, you could argue that totems were counting down the hours until they got removed from the game as soon as Enhancement was made a viable spec in The Burning Crusade. I wouldn't make that argument myself, but it sure does sound convincing when you look at it the right way. Sort of sideways, maybe squint a little.
The Queue: Something isn’t right here
One of the best memories of Burning Crusade was that one time I figured out how to fly upside down. I nearly made myself motion sick but it was totally worth it.
Ian Beckman’s top 5 reasons Kael’thas should be in Heroes of the Storm
Many, many years ago, Ian Beckman created a little series called Azerothian Super Villains during Burning Crusade. Although the series featured Burning Crusade's best villains, the best of the best was always Kael'thas Sunstrider.
A medium-length maintenance leads us into the second week of WoW’s Midnight expansion — all WoW servers are back online, but Blizzard Services maintenance is still scheduled
This week all World of Warcraft servers are scheduled for two hours of downtime this morning, and it seems like a more reasonable time period than last week's optimistic one-hour maintenance, which wound up running for two hours anyway.
Midnight arrives with a surprisingly short scheduled WoW maintenance — all servers back online after extended maintenance
The Midnight expansion just dropped in World of Warcraft, which makes this week's one-hour maintenance seem optimistic to me, but that's why I'm not a game developer.
It’s a quick Tuesday maintenance for World of Warcraft — all servers are now online!
It's a lightning fast World of Warcraft maintenance this morning, or at least we hope it is.
It’s a medium-size World of Warcraft maintenance day, and all servers are back online (almost on time)
All World of Warcraft realms have a longer than usual maintenance today, but hopefully not too long: all servers are scheduled for two hours of maintenance this morning.
