The whole World of Warcraft community has been rumbling about the launch of The War Within alpha.

There's a lot happening in the next couple months of World of Warcraft, with The War Within alpha in full swing, and patch 10.2.7 bringing the first ever WoW Remix for Mists of Pandaria.

The War Within will be focusing on the Earthen race in its story campaign, with the first two zones largely centered around them.

With the 2024 roadmap for World of Warcraft and the oncoming wrap up of Dragonflight, we knew the final patch would likely fall toward the end of spring, and we now have confirmation: the final Dragonflight patch, patch 10.2.7, releases May 7, 2024.

One of the big features coming with World of Warcraft's next expansion The War Within is Warbands, a new layer of account organization that will make many aspects of character customization and progression account-wide.

WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria has a different gear model to any World of Warcraft game we have seen to date, one of the core mechanics being the Cloak of Infinite Potential, which acts as an upgradeable item which you will use for the entire ReMists gaming experience.

The War Within is expanding the concept of Dragonriding in World of Warcraft to work with most flying mounts in the game, and letting players toggle between flying styles at any moment.

WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria had a brief PTR, and though the server was available for a mere 48 hours on fairly short notice, we were able to take a few things for a spin, and get a feeling for the introductory experience -- including getting a feel for how long it'll take us to level in ReMists.

One thing Mists of Pandaria offered when it was new was group content by the double handful: scenarios for three people of any spec, 5-player dungeons, and raids in 10, 25, and later completely flexible sizes, as well as LFR and later the introduction of Mythic raids.
