Deathwing, Destroyer of Worlds and Aspect of Death has exploded into the Nexus -- and he brought a cute little sidekick!

Heroes of the Storm had no world-shattering announcements during this year's BlizzCon opening ceremonies, given they announced the addition of Deathwing as a playable hero late last month.

In case you hadn't noticed, we're fast approaching the 15th anniversary of World of Warcraft.

After a tumultuous year that's seen Heroes of the Storm lose its official support as an esport, key personnel departures, and a noticeable slowdown in hero additions, the Heroes team has apparently decided to break the glass that says "IN CASE OF EMERGENCY, UNLEASH HELL." Deathwing has long been requested -- if not outright predicted -- as a hero to add to the game, as he is one of World of Warcraft's key franchise villains.

With BlizzCon on the horizon, we're definitely getting close to another character joining the lineup in Heroes of the Storm.
