Let's face it -- as cool as Diablo was, Diablo 2 was the most popular and fan loved installment in the series.

Diablo 3's Season 8 ended just before the new year, patch 2.4.3 rolled out earlier this week, and now Season 9 is here.

It's the 20th Anniversary of Diablo, and Diablo 3 has some plans in store for us all with patch 2.4.3, the Anniversary Patch.

Though the in-game festivities have yet to begin, Diablo's 20th anniversary was on December 31st.

Update: Sorry to anyone who's just seeing this now, but Season 8 has ended.

Diablo 3's Season 9 is almost here, and as always it includes an all-new set of rewards to coax you back to the game.

Diablo's Season 8 is ending next week, and Season 9 will be kicking off in early January, letting players start the game with a new level 1 character — and a ton of new challenges to tackle.

Maybe the polite word is 'borrowing' but whatever, y'all know what I mean.

Diablo 3 left some pretty big loose ends that aren't getting tied up any time soon.
