Blizzard snuck a graphical update to the Dragon Shire map in the latest update to Heroes of the Storm.

Almost a month ago now, Heroes of the Storm released a new battleground.

Coming soon to Heroes of the Storm is the new Lost Cavern map — and it's unlike any map we've seen before.

The Haunted Mines map in Heroes of the Storm was removed from the map rotation with the introduction of Towers of Doom.

Now that the open beta for Heroes of the Storm is well underway, matchmaking is being flooded with new blood. While it is very exciting to see more people pick up the game, their lack of experience has ruffled some feathers among veteran players. But don’t worry - I’m here to help!

The object of the game is simple: just destroy the core and you win. The basic path to get there is similar, but each map has unique mechanics designed to crush your opponent. This is a discussion of both those basics and the mechanics.
