When Shadowlands patch 9.1 was announced during BlizzConline we were told to expect changes to our experience while in the Maw, and with the arrival of 9.1 on the PTR we're now able to see those improvements for ourselves.
Patch 9.1: The Chains of Domination, the first major content patch of Shadowlands, promises plenty of improvements and new content for players to enjoy.
This was never a problem for me as a Druid, but getting around the Maw has often been an exercise in frustration for other, lesser classes.
If you've finished farming reputation with Ve'nari — everyone's favorite Broker-with-highly-questionable-motives — you may have done the responsible thing and started banking Stygia in anticipation of patch 9.1.
The Maw is expanding!
With Shadowlands patch 9.0.5 being largely focused on systems and balancing, many World of Warcraft players have been waiting patiently for the continuation of the various story threads left dangling at the end of patch 9.0 content.
Of all the mysteries still lingering at the end of the 9.0 Shadowlands quests, probably the most intriguing is the situation regarding Ve'nari, a Broker who has survived alone in the Maw for a long time and now considers us her willing partner -- until such time as one of us betrays the other.
Getting around the Maw can be quite the arduous experience, and while rerolling Druid or race-changing all your toons to Worgen to gain their ability to mount in the Maw may be tempting there are some ways to get around that aren't as expensive or time-consuming.
Let's be real -- after the two weeks of the pre-patch Scourge event, when we hit Shadowlands on November 23, we'll be champing at the bit to get into the new content.
One of the major new systems from World of Warcraft Shadowlands, Conduits, will no longer have a weekly cooldown for adjustments, letting you shift Conduits to suit your playstyle without a long wait.
