How should Shadowlands end?

Should it end with Sylvanas Windrunner destroyed for her crimes? Or would it be better if she gets to do what Grom did in Warlords and join together with us to defeat the Jailer? Do we even care what happens to the Jailer at this point, or would we rather find out that there was an even deeper menace in the Maw this whole time? Do we need to see Arthas return, or can we go an entire expansion in the Shadowlands without ever once having the former Lich King make an appearance?

Thinking about all the ways Shadowlands, the most recent World of Warcraft expansion, could end is kind of overwhelming. There are a lot of possibilities, a lot of ways it could go. I’d personally like to see Tyrande Whisperwind go full Night Warrior, blow up Torghast, and kill both the Jailer and Sylvanas — perhaps at the cost of her own life, if that’s what it takes, although I’d prefer she survive. But I accept that might not be a satisfying ending for every player out there. I know some people want Sylvanas back in charge of the Forsaken, for example.

There are so many characters involved, so many floating plot points and story elements up in the air, we could see them all come together in a variety of ways. The Drust, the Forsworn, the fighting Houses of Maldraxxus, Helya and her Mawsworn Kyrian, Odyn’s missing eye which we may end up fighting in 9.1, Kael’thas and Kel’Thuzad — we know some of these storylines will be resolved before the end of this expansion, but my question to you is how do you think it should all end? What stories have to be told? What are you the most interested in seeing by the time Shadowlands is all wrapped up?
