WRUP: It’s Barbenheimablo weekend and Team Blizzard Watch is slaying in more ways than one
Who’s ready for the weekend?! I know we here at Blizzard Watch sure are — and we here at Blizzard Watch also love to share just how ready we are for a given weekend with a little thing we like to call WRUP: What aRe yoU Playing?
Whether you’re new here or a regular, it’s time to sit back, relax, and talk weekend plans. Christian “Kalcheus” Thoma leads us off.

- Diablo 4
- Barbie

- Packing
- Critical Role
- Diablo 4
I’m actually doing basically what I was last week… working on packing, catching up with Critical Role, and trying to keep up with Diablo 4 as I go.

- World of Warcraft
- Diablo 4
- Prep for a new contract
- A thrice rescheduled birthday event for a friend
It’s cold here. So cold I just put some laundry on and the laundry liquid was an extremely viscus gel. We have a pool party to attend later today – I will not be swimming, the friend wants to make use of their heated in-ground pool – I’ll watch from the sidelines thanks.
I’m chipping away at getting the pets form the happy whelp daycare, working on doing the dailies and getting in a few Time Rifts each day.
I’ve been stupidly busy at work this week, for someone who’s bene on the bench I had a lot on, and start a new contract on Monday. Wednesday was spent trying to fill in the security clearance forms (it’s a government role) so to blow off steam I was blowing up demons and cannibals and the undead last night when I got home. In the few hours I had yesterday I managed to get to L16, I’m trying a poison/wolf/storm druid this time around.

SWTOR
Nintendo released Wave 5 of the Mario Kart 8 Booster packs. My son, daughter and I have a weekend full of racing ahead of us. It’s less than a month before my daughter leaves for college so I’m trying to really make the most of these weekends.
I’m living on the fringe of Infinite rank in Marvel Snap. Infinite is their equivalent to Legend rank. I made it as far as 97 (Infinite is 100), but then tumbled down to 92. I never made Legend in Hearthstone (or anywhere this close).
I’m continuing my playthrough of the Sith Warrior origin story in SWTOR. Warrior is one of three origin stories I have yet to finish in that game (Inquisitor and Consular are the others.) I’m using a Shadow Combat Style with a double bladed lightsaber build. It makes me more Darth Maul than Darth Vader.

- Diablo 4
- Dark
What can I say? Diablo 4 Season 1 has just begun. I even finished all my Hearthstone weeklies early this week, so that I’d be able to focus on Diablo almost exclusively.
I’m also playing some Hearthstone and a few other games on the side, but the focus is on Diablo. Oh, and on finishing Dark (only three episodes to go).

- Diablo 4
All D4 Season 1 all the time, working on three characters.

- Diablo 4
I dunno if you’ve heard of this little game called Diablo 4, but it’s pretty neat. I even took off work so I could play it like it’s my job. And that’s likely all I’ll play this weekend, if I’m being honest.
Nick Marino
- Diablo 4
- Witcher 3: Blood and Wine
Since I’m saving the Oppenbarbie double whammy until next weekend, this weekend I’m mostly playing Diablo 4 Season 1 when I can. I rolled a Sorcerer as my seasonal character to see if the nerfs from patch 1.1 were really that bad and even though I’ve only made it to level 14, it doesn’t feel too bad. I can see that my character is kind of squishy but it hasn’t felt like a major problem yet. I’m still murdering demons with impunity though TBD if that changes at higher levels. I also somehow fell back into the Witcher 3 rabbit hole, this time with the Blood and Wine DLC which is probably my favorite game DLC of all time.
I’m travelling most of next week and I’ll have my Switch with me, so I’m looking for some good recommendations other than Stardew Valley to keep me entertained.

- Tears of the Kingdom
- WoW
- Barbenheimer?
- Cleaning
The GF has been out of town all week, which means Diablo time has been unfortunately nonexistent; however, it also means I’ve been cleaning the house. A lot. Something about having the place to myself makes it a million times easier to clean, possibly because I have an incredibly frenetic approach to sorting.
In any case, when I’m not vacuuming and sorting holiday wrapping at 3am, I’ve been making my way ever so slowly through Tears of the Kingdom. I just wrapped the final Lightroot yesterday, and I have maybe… 50-some Shrines to go? (I’m at 79 but they cap out slightly above 120 apparently.) I might make one final push to the end just to see the story play out in full and finally chat about it with my friends who play games far less chaotically than I do. Either that or knocking out the last 55 points I need to hit Keystone Hero in WoW. So. Close.
Sunday is going to be the movies, one way or another. With whomst? To see hwhat? Great questions! One or both halves of Barbenheimer for sure, but the rest is still a bit in flux. Plenty of time to sort it out, though, right?
That’s us for the weekend! I hope you’ve enjoyed your stay, and if you have a moment, why not tell us — What aRe yoU Playing? Until next time!
