This is Purgatorius, a genus of eutherian mammal dating back around 66 million years. The type species was Purgatorius unio. This little animal was alive during the reign of the dinosaurs, and it may be related to — perhaps even ancestral to — modern primates. Even if it isn’t, it is likely extremely similar to our earliest primate ancestors. I bring this up for a reason, that will be apparent once I start answering questions.

During today's Shadowlands developer update, we learned that the alpha test is essentially close to being finished, and that the beta test will start next week.

When I think about World of Warcraft and the unfolding lore of the game, one of the things I love is when a character or place comes back or a quest or raid references something older in the game.

Up until now the D&D Beyond app for smartphones and tablets was a reference app, which was really useful if you were looking up information from one of the books in your virtual collection.

I've been pretty up front about not enjoying playing a Night Elf in World of Warcraft since the events of Battle for Azeroth, and I went so far as to level a Lightforged Draenei to take over as my main come Shadowlands.

Illidan Stormrage never stopped being evil.

He sacrificed other mages during the War of the Ancients. He willingly used the souls of others as fuel for a ritual when he was in Outland. He absolutely would have killed anyone if it had achieved his goals. He was and is an interesting character, and the fact that he was so utterly, ruthlessly pragmatic is part of why he’s interesting. Characters like Illidan make things happen.

I don't know what the World Quest situation will be in Shadowlands, but right now in World of Warcraft they're simultaneously one of my favorite systems and also the one that ends up “meh” the fastest.
